Vintage Moira Plique A Jour Diamond Ruby Frog On Leaf Brooch With Box
Now this is truly special! An outstanding vintage Plique-à-jour frog and leaf brooch, crafted by London designer “Moira Fine jewellery” in the late 20th Century. The sweet silver frog is depicted with legs outstretched across a large silver and 18ct gold leaf, with pink cabochon ruby eyes at the head and a dazzling array of brilliant cut diamonds encrusted across the entirety of its body.
The detailed Plique-à-jour enamelling has been expertly applied around the leaf’s veins and fades gently from green to yellow on the front, with pink and blue hues on the reverse. It’s fitted with a double pin at the back, secured with a locking trombone catch and is decorated with further diamonds around the edges and down the stem, with larger brilliant cuts dotted across the top, depicting dew drops (approx. 8ct total).
Plique-à-jour is French for "letting in daylight" and is a technique in which enamel is applied with no backing, allowing the light to shine through the translucent layer and create a wonderful stained glass window effect.
This is a one-of-a-kind vintage novelty brooch, showcasing exquisite enamelwork and twinkling diamonds. It’s all in pristine condition and is complete with the maker’s mark on the back and a large box to store it in, lined with cream velvet and silk within, and a grassy green velvet on the outside.

It is our policy not to ship to Indonesia or use any Escrow Service.
All orders are shipped to the billing address. Where a customer requires an alternative shipping address we will require proof of billing address in the form of ID / Utility Bill / Driving Licence. We will also require validation of the connection with the shipping address.
Delivered At Place (DAP). Also called delivered duty unpaid (DDU). This term indicates that the seller only takes responsibility for shipping the product, and requires the customer to pay any import costs, such as VAT, duties, and clearing fees. Any delays in payment of duties can result in delayed or returned shipments.
Returns & Refunds
As this purchase has been made through the distance selling regulations you are entitled by law to cancel this order within 14 working days. We must receive the item back within 14 days for you to qualify for a refund.
If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase we will give you a full refund (exclusive of shipping charges) and you must notify us by email or telephone of an intent to return goods within 14 days after you have received the item.
Items must be returned fully insured for the price paid, in the same condition as dispatched, in the original packaging, without any alterations, tampering, unauthorised testing or damage. Please also include your sales receipt.
Returns or credits will be processed within 14 days of receipt and inspection of item(s). We will confirm receipt of the returned item(s) and completion of the refund by email.
Return postage will be paid by the buyer.

International returns will need to be clearly marked as Antique Return. Failure to do so will result in an import duty charge, which will be deducted from any refund amount, the parcel will be delayed and may be returned to sender by the courier if the duty remains unpaid by the sender.
In the unlikely event of an item going missing in the post, we will not be able to refund the item until 40 days after the date that it was first posted.
Misrepresentation
Unless otherwise stated, any sizing and color assessments attributed to diamonds and colored gemstones are necessarily determined without disturbing the integrity of the piece; therefore, assessments represent close approximations, due to limitations imposed by the mount.
We will not consider the opinion of any other 3rd party.
Should you feel that your item has been misrepresented then please return the item within 14 days and we will pay for an independent assessment to be carried out by a qualified and experienced gemmologist / antique jewellery expert.
Any unauthorised testing will result in no refunds being made under any circumstances.
If the item has been proven to be misrepresented you will receive a full refund and your shipping costs refunded.
